I dont really want to risk it because it took months to finally get the drivers to work on the device and I simply needed to update it so I could continue to use banking apps that no longer uses android 5.1
If I take the motherboard completely out and just connect the board and no battery it shows as sony fastboot interface.įrom reading and research it says that this model doesnt have a true recovery partition and can be a problem. If start try to connect it in fastboot mode sometimes it registers as a SOMC device. The model is a sony xperia z it shows as Sony sa107 adbdevice driver in device manger when connected normally. I bought EDL cables, tried ADB commands, terminal emulators, test point, nothing works. I was able to unbrick it with a new boot image an kernel, but nothing I try will get it into diag mode. The boot partition was damaged in the 1st process. I need to enter diag mode to re write my IMEI number that was damaged in the process of putting a new rom.
